I’m happy to present my private tour guide service, which offers since 2006 customized tourism assistance for individuals who are looking something other than the standard tourist guide.

My name is Marcelo Mansilla and I feel fortunate to live in one of the nicest and most interesting cities in the world, Buenos Aires.

Beginning in high school I knew that I wanted to work in the tourism field so I studied and received my Tourism degree at the “Universidad Abierta Interamericana” in 2005, a four year course here in Argentina. During that period, in addition to working full time for an international company, I also provided bilingual (amateur) guiding services.

Besides my native language (Spanish of course), I speak and write fluent English, which I started studying when I was 7 yrs. old. I received my degree in “Advanced English Studies” at the Cambridge Institute of British Culture, based in Buenos Aires. The daily English conversations working with clients at my job and the practice gained during the past years interacting with travelers has helped me to improve my English as well. Of course, there’s always something new to learn and improve.

I work also as assistant and advisor for the purchase of properties in Buenos Aires, the subsequent process of repairing, furnishing them, and setting up city services. Some owners choose to rent out their place as an investment when they are not visiting the city and I can manage them as well.

Traveling around Argentina and the world is one of my hobbies. Within Argentina, I have visited and am familiar with Ushuaia, Calafate, El Chalten & Fitz Roy, Puerto Madryn, Bariloche & Lakes district, Mendoza & Aconcagua, Cordoba & Jesuits Missions, Iguazu Falls, Corrientes, Mar del Plata, a variety of Estancias (ranches) in the Pampas region, etc. I like visiting the typical spots but also discovering new places that are off the beaten path. I have also traveled to the United States of America, Brazil, Bahamas, Canada, China, France, Japan, United Arab Emirates, Uruguay, South Korea and Thailand.

I enjoy walking, sightseeing, photography, shopping at all the special places of the city, getting to know new people and just having fun. I enjoy a good meal and the quality of a good wine.
